Roll With The Changes
I took the Ruckus in for the last scheduled maintenance on Saturday, they changed the oil, the spark plug and checked/adjusted several other items. This did not fix the problem I have been having in that the top speed has slowly gotten less and less. I used to be able to hit over 40 mph with no problem. lately it had dropped to under 35 mph. I figured it was the roller weights and had ordered parts to fix it and they had all finally arrived this week. I had new weights, a new belt (needed to change anyway), and since I figured why not, I got a new polini variator. This is what I did today.

this is the old roller, as the name implies, it is supposed to be round
compare the old with what it should look like.
I replaced the cover and took her for a test drive. Hit 45 mph.
